Give your feet the love they deserve with this amazing Sea Salt Foot Soak and Banana Cream Moisturizer.

Our feet carry us far and wide, but we give them so little attention until they start to hurt. Our feet have 26 bones (this is amazing to me) and absorb the full impact of our body weight with every step, so it’s important to keep them happy and healthy. And you don’t need to spend a fortune on spa treatments to do it.

The first step stop wearing heels, yeah right! LOL! I can’t live without my heels, but I have learned to give my feet a bit of break over the years. Older=less tolerant to things that hurt. So at least 3 times a week, I wear a cute pair of flats.

Next step…is to move. Yep, the feet like the rest of the body need a good workout, and the best way to do it is to walk.

In the shower, give your feet a little extra TLC, bend down and give them a good clean, between the toes too. Make sure to dry them well, especially between the tootsies.

Moisturize. You can use coconut oil, it does wonders for cracked dry feet, or you can try this amazing, easy DIY recipe that will help reduce inflammation and have your feet feeling soft as ever.

Bananas have wonderful hydration properties and the oats act as a mild exfoliant, helping to get rid of dry skin on the heels. Um, yes, please!

Arnica is a wonderful first aid oil, it will help tired, worn feet, reduce swelling and help with aches and pains.

Sea Salt (better than Epson for this recipe) aids in relaxing the tired muscles, and relieves aching feet.

Instructions
  1. Blend the sea salt and oats in a blender until you get a fine powder
  2. Add the Arnica and lavender
  3. Put the mixture in a clean jar
  4. Add 1 tablespoon of this mixture to a large bowl of warm water and leave feet to soak for at least 10 minutes
  5. Rinse
  6. For added results: Moisten add hydrate the feet. Mash 2 medium sized bananas into a bowl until they are smooth and creamy. Apply the banana cream to dry feet at least twice a week, leaving on for about 10 minutes.
  7. Rinse with warm water and dry
  8. The Ritual: Grab a good book, sit back, put your feet up (literally) and get lost for 20 minutes.
